michael
I can see the sense of what TB did on saturday-and seems to have worked. for those of us who get off on clean sheets-marvellous. strength ,height and power all across the back 4-really good. Must admit-never saw it coming-and did not envisage Avery at right back for one minute-seems to have worked though. not there-so can't comment anymore, but interested in how others saw it. impressed that a manager will' think outside the box a bit' will TB pursue this type of defence in the next few matches-i guess so, as if its worked-you don't really go and change it do you.? ( a bit similar to last season when for me-the defence always looked most solid when Dean Pooley was at left back-even though he may not have been a natural left back ) having said all that-add that i do feel a bit sorry for Eliot Cox just the same-as he has been probably the most consistent player-and not done much wrong in any game. certainly ,Cox would be a first pick at most ryman sides imo
