Margate vs Enfield

first half was and Im sure you'll agree was a nothing game... no heart no passion and certainly no end result.  I spoke to a couple of their die hard supporters at half time and even they were shocked at how poor we were.  Second half after the subs we were slightly and I mean slightly better than them.  dean Mcdonald was a quality signing and Jack sammoutis was able and seriously looked like he wanted to take the game to Enfield, apart from them two  I would hazzard a guess at the players Mr Brown will keep and if we are gonna progress then some of our favoured players are going..... that said some of them have'nt shown why they are with us in the first place......... not there,so a bit easier on the eye and didn't suffer  the frustration, but seems to me we got 3 points on what i guess was a sticky pitch against a team who would have fought for everything;and margate stemmed a run of defeats.

clean sheet as well.

what more can anyone want ?

.broke the mould-so delighted with it.at end of season-it will simply be noted that 3 points were achieved

It certainly wasn't a great game to watch, but the win is the most important thing, and will hopefully kick-start the season from here.

Listening to the manager's comments, it seems like Cox and Dolby, two of our most improved and consistent performers, may suffer in the quest for solidity at the back. There certainly wasn't much overlapping and attacking from the full-backs yesterday, but as long as the results are right I will have no complaints.

One positive from yesterday, particularly given the lack of attacking support from the full-backs, was Warren Whitely's performance - probably vyeing with Bodders for motm in my opinion.

I thought an attendance of 391 on a bit of a nothing saturday against- with respect- a non too exciting team was pretty impressive-coming on the back of a thrashing at maidstone.

seems to show to me that a winning side can ensure regular crowds of 450 which is a start-and then you can build from there as if and when the team climbs the table and indeed the leagues
