I don't mind any one on here but when they start commenting and talking nonsense it seems they are only on. Here to cause trouble I don't know rother but he does not know these lads and I will stick up for slough through thick and thin

Listen, I am seriously not suggesting that either the players or management are falling into that trap but reading this Forum it is quite obvious that some do believe you are better than you really are. Both as a club and as a playing outfit.

 

You'll notice 3spirit that I haven't commented on the team at all because your quite right, I haven't seen them - just general observations in response to and in relation to posts made on here.

 

I really don't think we should be too parochial as local non league football fans. I am reasonably interested in how Burnham, Slough, Maidenhead and others are doing, and without a hint of jealousy or bad feeling on my part. In fact I think it would be good if more opposition fans came on each others' forums for an exchange or 2. God knows the Windsor one could do with a bit of livening up!

 

I think it's quite funny that you guys have come away from this afternoon thinking I have been having a go at the players and management when all I have done is suggested that a few of your fan base are a tad deluded / one-eyed in the way you see things. If you don't believe me, read back.

I often read the Windsor forum and know you from it,Rother. I believe you.

 

All fans are passionate about the team they support and yes,biased. 

I don't think Slough's fans are any different to Windsor,Burnham,Maidenhead,Beaconsfield or any other team.All we 

want is success for the team we follow.

 

I do think that sometimes Slough fans have unrealistic ambitions but getting in the Southern Premier isn't one of them. If Burnham, and Chesham can do it,then Slough should be able to do it,given our excellent Chairman and board,our Supporters Trust and our fanbase.

Getting the right manager/s and right blend in the team is essential. Not every game goes to plan but Slough Town FC are one of bigger fish in our division due to the size of our town and our tradition.There's no way our fans can

get away from this fact.

 

I think our fans get protective of our club when other fans of other non-league clubs come onto our forum to criticize how Slough Town FC operates, or it's fans react to our defeats.That is all,Rother.

 

All fans forums up and down the land do this.

We are not unique in this!
