this is due to the damage caused by the recent storms. Severe damage to clubhouse and grounds.

(Covered stand by the clubhouse was blown into the front car park damaging roof as it went over the building).Sorry to hear the clubhouse has been damaged RS if there is anything i can do to help feel free to ask and i will come to the club and help if i am available

All now down & in the car park but like Red Spot has quoted, damage to roof plus the pitch not now fully enclosed.

Also the pitch at 3ish still had many small puddles all over so would have needed a dry night & day to have any chance of playing

As of today, we are fine and dry at Wibbandune.

Last delivery of 60 tons of sand added8 days ago  and almost all washed in.

Alton Town 1 v 1 Farnham Town

 

Decent sized crowd so well done to both teams for agreeing to play.

 

1st half was Alton and to be fair they should have been more than 1 goal up but were wasteful in front of goal.  2nd half was much more even with both sides having chances to score but the only goal came from Farnham with about 5 to go.  Harsh on Alton but if you don't take your chances then you may pay. 

 

Thought the 8, 9 and 11 were all very decent from Alton and I cant believe they will be in the bottom 3 if they play that again.  Disappointed in Farnham but I would imagine they are a better side than on show tonight.

it feels like ages since I have seen a game. Can someone please remind me of the rules?

1. Windsor must win

2. Windsor must give away a penalty

3. Dennison must save said penalty

4. If fit, Harris must sit on his bottom with his legs stretched out in front of him, pulling his socks up after tricking the defender into scything him down.

5. There does not have to have been any actual contact for 4 (above) to occur.

6. Tony Thompson must start shouting instructions at the players 1 second into the game and continue doing so without pausing for the entire duration of the game.

7. The instructions referred to in No 6 need not have been intelligible to anyone in the ground, but must always have been delivered in an upper octave.

8. Kyle Lucas must turn the opposition right back into a human corkscrew.

9. Rob Lazarczuk must kick the ball away at every opposition free kick.

10. He must also stand 6" away from the ball as the opposition attempt to take said free kicks.

11. Oh, and these antics must cause the referee to book him. Every game.

12. No matter how good a game the referee has, the Windsor supporters congregated behind the goal must find a reason to consider him an incompetent buffoon at some point in the proceedings.

Alton were worthy of their lead at H-T and it could easily have been more! They created a lot of problems with balls into the box! Thought we responded better in the second half and created 4-5 chances only taking one with 5 minutes left.

 

After the first half and with a few players missing we'll take the point and move on.

Having seen Slough the other day I don't think it would be fair to accuse any team in the CCL of such a slur.
