Last delivery of 60 tons of sand added8 days ago  and almost all washed in.

The Spelly boys trained at the club at 10am on Boxing Day and I must say the pitch seemed fine to me, totally playable with no puddles etc. Unless we have a serious downpour tonight I can't see this one being off.

The weather forecast does not look that bad but we all know that forecasts are purely that; a forecast. Fingers crossed that it stays dry and the wind helps dry the pitches a bit. I don't fancy traipsing round the M25 only for the game to be called off.

"Due to recent major storm damage to the clubhouse and the pitch , our game v Badshot Lea is off on Saturday. CCL are aware."

 

Also off - Old Farnboronians v Virginia Water (Elite League).

 

Wood v Chessington & Hook is ON tomorrow.

That definitely won't include Leatherhead F.C.  -  Their pitch is now a 4 foot deep lake !!!!

Game ON at Alton. Dry in Alton at the moment with a decent wind. No surface water so barring a downpour it will be fine. See you there!

28th - Ash United vs Badshot Lea - OFF

 

this is due to the damage caused by the recent storms. Severe damage to clubhouse and grounds.

(Covered stand by the clubhouse was blown into the front car park damaging roof as it went over the building).
