michael
am i correct that after the forum, the club said that they would issue a further release about the ground development. looking forward to that and in particular the EXTENT of what is being actioned at this stage. not at the forum, so i post in blissful ignorance, and no doubt others will wish to correct/advise me; but are the works planned-a full stadium development ,or some ground improvements ? there is a difference ! on the basis that i believe the club stated that the works would take about 12 months-it seems they are relatively extensive. equally-was it also not stated that KP would continue to progress the commercial development and the funding of that ? .-sort of impiles to me that the hotel side is not quite in place yet-but i am usually wrong-and again-am applying guesswork as not at forum-look forward to being corrected. gut feel is that maybe we will see a couple of sides developed at this stage-hopefully including dressing rooms;so again look forward to club confirming what is and what is not being done . i guess, if a' full stadium' is not being developed initially-some may be disappointed. personally-i am very easily pleased-and frankly if a bit of 20 yard rusty tin is erected to provide a modicum of shelter at the coffin end-that would be progress enough .combine that with a small terrace at the ends of the current 'main stand, and a semi permanent dressing room-and at least there would be a proper ground again. seems like the club are going to deliver a bit more than that though ? Guernsey Tom
As I understood it from shareholders and forum meetings, the ground development will go ahead as planned, in full and the Hartsdown end is the only area that will not be developed. The Hotel will go ahead as planned with several Hotel chains being spoken to about the running of the Hotel. Irrespective of who takes it over the Hotel will be built and the 12 months development plan will be in full and as planned. Obviously we will have to see how this progresses, but if you are attempting to be negative then perhaps you should have attended and asked these questions then.
