Hampton & Richmond Borough v Enfield Town

How encouraging to read the positive comments made after our much improve performance against high-fliers Kingstonian on Saturday. To run a top-three team close, and only lose by the narrowest of margins, gives genuine cause for optimism that we can build on this result and, perhaps go one better, when we face 17th place Hampton & Richmond Borough at the Beveree Stadium tomorrow evening.

The Beavers are having a mixed season and their home form is erratic, with 2 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats. Lewes secured a 1-1 draw at the Beveree on Saturday, and Grays Athletic won there 0-2 at the end of November. At present they are five places above us in the RPL and will be looking to make home advantage count. It will not be an easy match for either side, particularly in the present weather conditions, assuming the game goes ahead.

George Borg has only been Town manager for a very short while, under a fortnight, but already he has started to make his mark, by strengthening the team in key areas, improving the general level of fitness, injecting confidence and belief, to get the team playing his style of football. George is unquestionably one of the best managers in non-league football, he has a great track record, and he has already lifted morale and expectation at the Club. If we can carry on at the Beveree Stadium where we left off on Saturday, we will be in with a very good chance. Good luck guys!
