Chris1
We gave a good account of ourselves in the second half. We should have held on to the 2-1 lead, but a disastrous back pass by Mr Wilson let them in for the equaliser, and the winner was a screamer. Our MOM Warren Whitely. missunderstood
As a neutral I thought your shaky defence was the difference between the two sides, and Hornchurch probably deserved the three points. A shocker of a game to watch, and apart from two or three Hornchurch players hardly any quality to watch all afternoon.
Coffin Ender
Bit unlucky to lose. Hornchurch are what we should be aiming to be - direct, combative and win games when not playing especially well. That's how you get out of this league. Blackz
Agree with Chris1 - thought Warren Whitely was easily our MOTM, much improved display from everyone, even though the defence was still a bit shaky - hope Wayne doesn't beat himself up too much about his error - apart from that I thought he linked up well, got involved in some good passing moves here & there. Also agree with Coffin Ender about being a bit unlucky to lose - felt we deserved a point out of that, unfortunately their winner was a hell of a strike - you don't save those! Feeling positive for the next week ahead & the game against Hampton & Richmond.
Eastside Urchin
Thought we was the better side without really playing well,at times you looked dangerous and our defence was at fault for the two goals. I always thought we would get back in it at 2-1 just didn't realise it would be that way. Our pitch although didn't look too bad is not conducive to free flowing football

Our pitch although didn't look too bad is not conducive to free flowing football I don't think two clubs could share that pitch, which is certainly not the best. Piss poor match though, that will not put bums on seats, especially as D&R are only a few stops down the district line.
Eastside Urchin
Agree about the pitch which has always been my main gripe with sharing a stadium for football use. As far as the football goes,it's 4 levels below division 1 so in comparison it's not going to be as easy on the eye

michael
attractive to me if it wins matches-which over the years shows it is the way to get out of ryman ((maybe once you get to conf south you have to be a bit more sophisticated ) being a neanderthal-i like hoofball-as long as its effective hoofball
Eastside Urchin
Have seen many a Ryman north game and it's no coincidence that teams that get promoted to Ryman premier struggle, the gap is massive in kvass and fitness

Enfield got promoted last year, and they really was a class act..
Eastside Urchin
Enfield struggle big time with the step up. Problem is Alan, you are judging your Ryman prem experience at a club where even the directors and fans admit that our pitch is awful to play on. We play much better away from home as do most clubs away from the bridge

Don't take this the wrong way Rob, but Bridge Avenue is a pretty depressing place, and until everyone concerned can persuade the council to invest in a new facility you will always struggle to get the gates you deserve.
