Never let the football ...

never let the football get in the way of a good day out in Bognor

reasons to be cheerful.

For the few of us whose hobby is waste bin spotting.Bognor football club is an absolute mecca.

Not many people know that Bognor FC has the most concentrated population of waste bins in the football world.

Over 200 of these magnificent objects were on display yesterday-beautifully shaped in blue, green and black.

Not your ordinary dustbins either-real class waste bins ,positioned along the terraces every 5 yards, and on the far side- One bin between two spectators-Margate could learn alot from this.

Whilst on the subject of beautifully shaped objects of desire;another highlight of Bognor football club is Rachel the physio.

A bit of a pity there weren't more injuries to the Bognor players enabling  Rachel to make more on pitch appearances, but the Bognor spectators seemed to content themselves by singing 'Rachel Rachel give us a wave ' (sounded like wave anyway).Despite winning 5-1 at the time, many of the Bognor faithful seemed more focused on Rachel in the dugout, than their dominance on the pitch-can't possibly think why!.whilst others of a younger disposition may have had more licentious thoughts, i content myself by simply wondering whether she did or did not have hair extensions

the third highlight was the bread pudding-very tasty and pleasantly served.

Must be a bit of a bind being on the pitch missing these highlights, seeing Bognor carve through the midfield and defence, albeit two really good headed goals from Walsh.

Have to admit, the 5 midfield players is exactly what i would have done-and seem to be a strong 5 man midfield.

Unfortunately-for all the game, we just could'couldn't get any sort of control in midfield and hold on to the ball-enabling  Bognor in two short spells to play at a tempo,Margate had not encountered for years and Bognor ripped Margate apart.

Ironically-Margate showed when 3-1 down-that they can also play at that tempo, but they weren't used to it as most teams at this level do not play at that intensity, and it caught Margate out.

Great penalty save from Holloway (wrongly awarded ) and one of the great misses of all time from Moses-still-at least he has got that out of the way for another five years.

sometimes i leave games after defeat really bitter and twisted (lewes and kingstonian ),but did,nt feel two bad after yesterday, with the bins, rachel and bread pudding easing the pain of another heavy away defeat
