Im hoping he will give the current squad a big kick up the behind and put it to them that if they dont perform there out on their ears.

Hopefully the friendly matey approach to the players by managment will b a thing of the past and we can all look forward to seeing a team who wants to wear the Enfield shirt again.

Hasn't been out of the game that long, was scouting for Crawley only 5 years ago.

 

"In June 2009, he was due to return to Middlesex to join the coaching staff at Enfield Town, but an extended work commitment in the States put paid to that appointment."

Didn't see that coming,Great appointment IMO

Know George well,or at least I did,haven't seen him for 2 or 3 years.

Lovely bloke,swears a lot but instills passion and has a contact book bigger than the bible.Although being away from the non league game for a while he may have to rely on others judgments for players to start with.

No way are you going down with him at the helm and next season I would expect you to challenge

Rod Stringer is awsome manager just look what he achived at aveley and you know how he done that his firm but fair approch, did not tolorate player power.  As enfeild is a local rival to me i wish the club all the best with there new gaffer.

He certainly is a higher calibre than the previous incumbent but that doesn't guarentee more success.
