thecoldend
One end of the pitch was a little frosty but not dangerous IMO....still soft..... the lines especially in penalty box were quite hard to see though and the ref called it off for that reason I'm told. Have some photos which I'll post on line later.
Cod Army
Both teams wanted to carry on with the game as well. Could of been easy for welwyn to agree with the ref and get it called off especially when we were so dominant and deserved the lead. But fair play to the welwyn manager for wanting to carry on

But fair play to the welwyn manager for wanting to carry on That's really irritating especially if both teams up for it. As you say fair play to wgc. Shame for you guys though That's probably one of the best we've played this season as well! And I don't think it was for frost, I think it was because the linesman couldn't see the lines, especially on the goal line

OD's
Chesham United "Reserves" 5 AFC Dunstable 2 Like to congratulate all the lads at AFC last night for a gallant performance against Chesham in the Challenege Trophy. Shame they played 5 first teamers (Lambert, Brown, Fotheringham, Effiong, Little) might have been more even if not. AFC starting line up had 7 teenagers in it. Also 2-1 up at the break. After all the players who have left the club. was hoping to get some confidence back last night, against a Div 1 team and on a level playing field. Dirtyclaret
Still confident in the gaffa OD? Will he attract any local lads? With the number of local teams, Barton, DTFc, Stotfold, Ampthill, Arlesey, Leighton, both the Bedfords, Both Biggleswade's, even with Div2 sides paying £, it's gonna be a big ask for him to get lads to go there over them sides, I would say 90% of the lads that were there were there bcoz of the 'mates' factor and locality. Neutral
Div 2 sides paying? You what? I can guarentee Leighton and Stotfold don't pay. Who says he's simply trying to attract local lads? I'm sure he has plenty of Hertfordshire contacts who will travel 'over the border' He's been there 2 weeks, give him time.

Very confident in Steve. His hands are tied at the moment regarding the 1 approach per club every 28 days. Players are slowly coming over and to be fair would like to get away from the "mates" factor situation. As mentioned before, looking away from Bedfordshire. Pick up 10 more points and should be safe from the drop and build for next season. Its going to be tough until the end of the season, we know that but looking forward to 14/15.
