We've been one of the best footballing sides for the previous 2 seasons and whilst it may get you results against teams playing at a higher level (as HW have found this season - probably the best footballing side I've seen us come up against so far) it hasn't got us out of the league. Playing against Guildford and Egham in previous years it's obvious that a slight change in playing style can reap rewards in this league. So far it's working for us with plenty of goals. Let's hope it continues so all our players can be successful, start earning some money and get off this dreadful Reigate council estate that we're all from.

Give me a bunch of Council Estate :D players anyday.They bring passion,loyalty,togetherness,to the party.Marvels me how the posh Purley boys,Milesy and Higgsy have intergrated so well in to the South Park Clan.

 

Never thought I would see the words posh and Purley in the same sentence

For what it's worth I have no animosity towards South Park whatsoever. They are a well organised outfit, both on and off the pitch, and we have plenty of ex-Epsom connections down there with George Smith, Dave Argent and Ricky Kidd. If they finish top, they'll deserve it.

 

I will also be grateful to them for being the first side in 32 years to allow us to have some silverware.......

 

Obviously I'm hoping that they will drop some points soon, but there is a very long way to go in the season. All Epsom can do is take care of their own results.

 

Interesting comment by Matt123 about Molesey being "by far" the best footballing side in the League. No one in this League is better than the rest "by far" in any area. That's what is making the season so interesting. We have been playing nice football for many years now under Lyndon, but if someone wants to give Molesey more credit, that's obviously their opinion. I couldn't possibly comment!

This is just going on games I've seen this season rich! You would say epsom as you follow epsom. I don't follow any team in particular in this league.

Trust me Matt, I can be critical of our guys when they deserve it.

 

And I would never go as far as to say we are the best passing side in the League, certainly not by far either.

 

We are just one of the better ones and have been for a few seasons now.

 

I was picking up more on the fact that this League is very tight, and on any given match day bottom could beat top. That wouldn't be the case in some Step 5 Leagues across the country and is an indication of how competitive this League is.
