Thanks E&E my point exactly, seems as though Big JR is happy to comment on almost anything apart from his very own club. He's happy to make official statements on behalf of DFC but only when it suits him.

Big JR if you really don't know what is happening with your own club then do you not think it would be wise to ask someone who does know, or is this truth actually that no one knows what's going on? Shambles.

Whatever is the situation I hope they get it sorted and that Dorking don't get chucked out of the league in the next 7 days as Chubby said.

Irrespective of the poor facilities at Dorking (and they're not alone) it benefits no-one for clubs at this level to go to the wall.

So fingers crossed Dorking and league can get the situation resolved.

This sums up the problem JR.

You have often released official statements on behalf of the club, but if you don't know what is going on either, then it's clear that communication is at fault again at a time that the club desperately needs some.

Too many clubs treat their supporters like fodder and feed them limited information almost on a "need to know" basis. The opposite should be happening to try and raise interest. Instead, silence.

Agree, Rich.

Never really understood why clubs used this site to post official statements. By all means post a link to an official statement but - and all due respect to this forum - don't use this as the official mouthpiece for your club. Let's be honest, it comes across as amateur.

If a club wants to play with fire and use a forum to manage their PR, they can't really complain when the news deliberately dries up; after all, they've chosen to involve a messageboard where all and sundry can log in and comment, good and bad.

Clubs are at this level are their own worst enemies a times.

So lets all stop posting.NO info on postponed games, fixtures, changed K.O. Times,Results, etc.Does marvel me though Nosher,Chubby, that you can criticise another poster for not replying, when he states that he KNOWs nothing. If we waited for you 2 to post anything worthwhile, this site would be like a Morgue.

There is no question of "throwing Dorking out of the League within the next seven days". It is in nobody's interests to reduce the number of clubs in the Division to just 15  All clubs have been advised through the minutes of the last Management Meeting that the League has agreed to allow Dorking to play its home matches at any suitable ground, including possibly, their opponents' ground, if mutually agreed.  It is a matter for the Club to sort out each fixture and I believe they are trying although I still do not yet have any information about where they intend to play this coming Saturday's home game against Cobham.  Given that a "quick fix" at the ground seems unlikely, I am looking at their fixtures in the New Year,  in case I can easily re-arrange any of their matches with plenty of notice, but it may only delay the problem of getting their home games played this season.

As mentioned in the minutes, if any club can help out on an ad-hoc basis, or is willing to play an away game against Dorking at its own ground, please contact the club.

We are also standing by, if invited, to attend the ongoing talks between the club and the Council.

Are Dorking having to pay to hire grounds when they switch the fixtures? Also who is receiving any gate receipts?

Only interested,as I can imagine it being a financial nightmare for the club if they are having to pay to hire grounds with no income.

We hired the following grounds a few years ago and there is huge variances in the costs charged:

Camberley Town (£225 - no floodlights)

Farnborough North End (£150)

Hartley Wintney (£40)

Knaphill (£50)

Westfield (£40)

If clubs aren't willing to assist Dorking in their time of need, i would imagine it will be very difficult for them to survive.

Thanks to all the above, who posted POSITIVE comments, especilly Alan.

I am in regular contact with our first  team manager and rest assured that if I have any news that can be released, you will hear it on here.

As far as I am aware this morning, (Tuesday), the status quo is unchanged.
