With the large number of Ex CCL sides at Step 4, in precarious, possible Relegation positions at the moment,Namely Chertsey Town,Ashford Town(middx),Guildford City,Fleet Town,Chipstead,Merstham, add in the enigma that is Corinthian Casuals, who have been reprieved a few times. If all these Clubs were to be relegated, where would they be placed?Likewise say if Spelthorne and AFC Croydon were promoted ,would they be gauranteed a place in the Combined Counties Premier?or would it be the SSML,SCEL for those 2.Would Croydon be shifted to the SCEL,Horley to the Sussex, and South Park similarly if they do not win the League to Sussex.Have the League or F.A. have any plans for this scenario.Would Hartley/Eversley be moved to the Hellenic.

As you say there are many C/C clubs that border other leagues. At the end of the season when all movements up or down are known there will be shifts if needed.

The same as at other steps, many clubs get moved at level 4 between their own set up or across leagues.

Any C/C club applying for promotion will have longer journeys thus more expense.

Many ex C/C clubs after a few years of success are looking to return to their roots.

One thing you need for promotion is. MONEY MONEY and more MONEY

My advice, Go for it, it's fun in a new league.

The simple answer is to rule nothing in & rule nothing out. Planning can only start after the season finishes and relegation issues, play-offs, withdrawals etc are finalised. All we know for certain is that with the FA, nothing is for certain (except any fees / fines they control will increase - Wembley still has to be paid for  ;) )

Does it get affected by the teams that are also getting promoted from step 7?? So many rumours flying around that it could be a wasted season for clubs chasing promotion, 1 up from the prem ( normal apart from last year) and now possibly only 1 up from Div1!!! It's possibly looking that way

Promotion from step 7 is usually more about ground grading, I know the team at the top of the pile shoul be the team promoted but on many occasions teams finishing below in the league have been promoted due to ground grading.

Last season two C/C teams from the Prem were promoted to the expanded Ryman setup. expanding lower leagues is not very oftern feasible, with most, if not all clubs without lights, with cup games etc, weather, there are not enough Saturdays to fit in the fixtures.

The C/C league with one of the earliest season starts in the pyramid struggle to fit the fixtures in. Another hard winter forcast could have another fixture pile up come March / April

The Hellenic League is under subscribed, they had to promote Bracknell who finished 5th to keep the Premier Division to 20 teams so maybe 1 or 2 could be shifted there, perhaps Eversley and Sandhurst?  I suspect neither team would want to but the FA can be cruel.

They didn't have lights when I last visited there, but it was a long long time ago, when Waters were a force in the C/C. If my memory serves me well, (I am getting on a bit) the C / C was split EAST / WEST ?

Historians, am I correct!

I am not sure they have lights which will stop them coming into the CCL

Should it though Krooner? They have done a lot of work at The Timbers, are a well run club and they have plans for lights in the near future.

You are probably closer to the rules than me Chris so will let you tell me.  I always thought that the locals wouldnt allow them lights.

They will just arrange a few more Turgid England Friendlies, that rips off the paying Public,to pay for Wembley.

Locals have opposed lights in the past but times change.

I don't know the rules though I am sure there is a minimum ground grading requirement which probably includes lights.

My point, or question is, should we invite (or be able to invite) quality, well run clubs, "currently" without lights to help to make the league better? We also have the question of our current members who are without lights.

Also, how far should we expand our boundaries to accommodate such clubs?
