behind-the-goal
Was really impressed this evening. Different atmosphere: much more positive. The players had desire and were getting angry with each other for the right reason. Good displays by the youngsters brought in from the U21s. Positive body language and encouragement from Peter. Definitely a step in the right direction. Very well done indeed to Peter and Bryan. Also heard lots of very positive things about what they're doing behind the scenes. I'm looking forward to the Dulwich match now with much more optimism. COYT!
Tom S
Not sure we learned much against limited opposition but if nothing else it was interesting to see the Hammatts deal with the lack of full backs and surfeit of centre backs in the squad by switching to a 3-5-2 formation. Joe Stevens in particular seemed to thoroughly enjoy the freedom that gave him to attack on the left. Dave Kendall did ok on the right before appearing to tweak a hamstring. One very interesting face in the crowd, but I'm not sure if I should name him.

Tom S
Was he? Now that is interesting. I was just wondering why Gordon Sedgley would come out for a friendly on such a cold evening.

Stanners66
I was in the same school team as Steve at Chesterfield. He was a bit better than me though!! Also in the team were Steve Grenfell ex Daggers and Tony Tillbrook who played in goal for Hoddeston.
