michael
delighted to read that we achieved 3 points tonight. couldn't care less how it was achieved-a win is simply a win. Probably halfway now to getting the necessary points to maintain ryman league status next season. good stuff. didn't concede the nil-better still ,and a decent achievement from what may not be the strongest defence in the league
Jeff Trice
Unwanted stat time - tonight's attendance of 82 was the lowest in history for a Margate (not including Thanet United) league match. It's also the lowest for a league game at Hartsdown Park since 29 watched Thanet United play Salisbury in April 1986. Previously Margate's lowest-ever Hartsdown Park attendance for a league game was 100 for a match against Andover in 1980. On a lighter note that was Gary Borrowdale's first-ever goal in his senior career.
margateshot
Why do we keep playing matches when internationals are on TV? Surely we could change to a Wednesday for these.
upthegate
Not sure about the attendance figure. I thought there was definitely more than 82 of us. Agreed a win is a win albeit not a good performance. Thought the team as a whole worked harder but some of the ball control, passing, crossing and attempted finishing was dreadful. If Carshajton are bottom of the league then we're going to have some tough games coming up !
PaulZ
I think the attendance has been officially changed to
dflman
We knew it was wrong as some of us had memory of the scene on the night of the massive crowd of
Jab_n17
cold weather, poor past results, football on TV all contributes to fans staying away.....mind you staying in to watch a friendly even tho it was Germany beats me. Few good games and positive results things will pick up I'm sure
Always Gate
Could sell tickets for Tuesday and Saturday as a package at a reduced rate . Possibly £16.00 for the two for adults. £12 for others.
Coffin Ender
It affects all levels. Just noticed Wolves had 4,226 for an FA Cup tie last night. And they made admission £10/£5.
