Delboybtfc
After a pitch inspection at lunchtime the referee decided to call off tonight's game. There is no rhyme nor reason to this inspection lottery.

blue pilgrim
Intrigued to know the refs reasons. Hardly any bad weather of late ! He's probably been sent a video by the Lowestoft manager, who influenced the match being called off last week. Then it was " dew and water table rising". This week it is probably "too cold". Never mind, with the England game on, it would have been a miserable gate.
jl
Very worrying. It's not even winter yet. I know people are working very hard to makes things playable but we really do need to get it sorted in the Summer.
The Town Crier
that would have been nice jl but we found an unexpected letter from your, other office, tucked under the carpet that needed urgent attention. It will get sorted, plans are afoot, Craig is there training, it'll be interesting to see what he thinks of the pitch tonight

mcth
Of course, silly me. Given the further rain, they might as well do Saturday's inspection now. If they can't get the pitch playable in 7 dry days (unless of course the League wanted them to play on the England night and they didn't want to, so they didn't try too hard ??) I see little chance. Leiston's pitch looked in pretty good nick on Saturday, I thought. Still showing the Lowestoft game as "Next Up" on the website btw.
Ryan.c
I wouldn't be writing it off just yet. Mostly dry today, forecast to be dry tomorrow and Saturday. I'm sure those who are working hard on the pitch will appreciate your comment above.
