Slough v North Greenford

If results go our way tonight (which I doubt ashford will pick up a result at dunstable), we could go second (so should be enough ascentive for more Rebels to turn up tonight).

Just been looking at the league, I kind of get the dejavu feeling with Daventry compared to our season last year and got me to thinking (which is dangerous in its self).

Is it best to have points in the bag rather than loads of games to catch up. I know we found it very tough last year playing catch up (not saying every team will find playing catch up tough) espeically now we are getting to the time of year where games will be called off.

It's 30 degrees out here in Brazil and my work for the week is now done so I'm off to the hotel's rooftop pool. Tonight I will be drinking cocktails by the marina but my heart will be just off the M40 in sub freezing temperatures....maybe. COYR!

Yeah that's right Mark rub it in. I worked late, got home, cooked dinner, Sophie threw up and I left as we were kicking off. Farnham Road was closed I followed the wrong diversion and ended up arriving as the thermometer on my car ticked over to zero degrees with six minutes of the first half remaining.

On the bright side I heard Alan Green describe Germany as having a Kroos, Kruse and two Benders in their line up, had a cracking cup of tea and the Rebels put in a solid performance against an inexperienced Greenford side who seemed lacking in confidence.

I would say it was a good workout in tricky conditions but difficult to rate the performances as once the second goal went in the contest was never really in doubt.

Onto another big game Saturday - COYR

Started slowly and got stronger as the game went on. I thought Greenford were quite lively going forward but vulnerable at the back.

Not sure who's goal it was from Darren Wheelers corner. Some people I spoke to said the ball was in before the keeper touched it.

Not at our best tonight but we still showed the character and determination to get the win.

My MOTM was Warren Harris.
