Favours eh !  Well it looks like I'm doing me old mucker a favour and off to Farnham on a scouting mission..... quite pleased actually as I haven't been to Farnham this season..... So where you off to Smudge ?  Off to the arena again ?  Should be a good game with 2 top teams trying to out do each other..

Good luck to all the teams in the Vase - no real stand out fixtures today in the Prem with the top three not playing.

I imagine there's a simple explaination but for example why can't Windsor & Epsom play each today other - is up to the league to arrange these fixtures or can the clubs do it and inform the league.

I can't imagine clubs want weekends without matches at this stage of the season

The league are open to clubs changing fixture dates.

We recently brought forward our home game with Alton with their agreement, so the league sanctioned this. We have also moved the Ash home game to this afternoon, again after agreeing with the opposition and the league. We suffer if there is no football on a Saturday, so it makes sense to do this, as the alternative would have been no income for two Saturdays in fairly quick succession.

The bulletin and Football Mitoo give details of clubs free on certain dates, so you just look to see if there is someone who fits the bill and liaise with them. I think Ash may have been due to come to us on a Tuesday, so imagine that a weekend trip to us was preferable.

Clearly there has to be the availability of a pitch and the agreement of both parties, but it can be done, although it is entirely at the discretion of the clubs concerned and there a lot of other factors that can come into it.

Clubs can organise matches between themselves on free dates if they wish ( as Molesey and Ash have done today) as mentioned by Hammer59. Much easier for us on a Saturday while weather is good rather than gamble on a date after the new year... Get the games out the way early - makes it easier at the end of the season Edited by Red Spot
