Relegation Form ???

I was unable to travel up for the Wingate Finchley match yesterday but, like many other people, I was stunned by the result, and very disappointed to read the post match comments.

Whatever way you look at it, our 2013-14 season is going disastrously wrong, and the facts make very disturbing, uncomfortable reading, for everyone with the interests of the Club at heart.

Consider the following :

At present we stand 3rd from bottom in the Ryman Premier Division having secured just 12 points from 16 matches (25%).

We have now suffered SIX consecutive League defeats, conceding 18 goals (average 3 per match) and scoring only three.

We now have the third worst goal difference deficit in the RPL.

We have now gone TEN matches since our last League win, against Thamesmead Town on 31st August 2013. No League wins in September, October, or November to date.

Very worrying, to say to say the least, no matter what spin or shine is put on the situation. We all want to feel optimistic, loyal to the Club, and hope things will improve sooner than later, or before we are dragged into a tough survival battle in the second half of the season. At the moment we appear to be in a downward spiral, with plenty of uncertainty about our future prospects.

It is a time for strong nerves and leadership, both on and off the field. Where and how is it all going wrong, and what is the solution?

A lot of people have worked incredibly hard to make the Club what it is today. They deserve a return for their efforts. I believe the players have a lot to answer for, and they should stand up and be counted, show passion, commitment, determination, and pride to play our Club, before it is too late, and we stare relegation in the face.

I think the way forward would be to get rid of the manager, let him take the majority of thd players with him because after last night they showed they had no passion for the club or the managment team last night.

We can then instal a new managment team who can bring some new players in Nd also use some of the U21 players as well

I ask again what has Steve got on the board for them to have not already sacked him.

People say you cant make wholsale changes in the team etc as may affect performances. Well personally i feel anything is better than what we have at the moment.

Also a message to Steve. For gods sake man do the right thing and resign you are embarrasing yourself and our team.

As the supporters sang last night. Give us back our Towners.

so you only get 6 games these days, then its out?  bear in mind he got us up, kept us up and the start to this season wasnt that bad. last 6 games have been awful, but its only 6 games.

got an axe to grind maybe?

Cold End Maybe reason wingate have suddenly got better is that they have changed their managment team.

Towner boy, its not the last 6 games, its been most of this season and how many times do i have to say we were lucky to stay up last year.

Steves performance last season wasnt good in my opinion and we should have got rid last year.

AW

I think all Amber's fans would rather be where Town are .......still with a good chance of staying in the Premier Division. Its not all over yet!.............. than where Cheshunt currently are in Division One (North) being 16th place.

YOUR JUST A SMALL TEAM NEAR ENFIELD!

I think it would be fair to say that we have reached crisis point, and if this is not relegation form, I don’t know what is:

8 straight league defeats.

11 games since our last league win.

1 win in our last 16 league and cup games.

1 clean sheet (a friendly against Hertford Town, who are two levels below us) in our last 39 league, cup and friendly games.

0 clean sheets in our last 27 league and cup games.

In the form league we are bottom for the last 4, 6 and 8 games.
