THAT throw on yesterday

Nobody has mentioned the throw on confusion yesterday where one of our players threw the ball on to the back of one of our players standing close by, then collected the ball as it bounced back into his path. Was it Allen? I think he may have been watching Soccer AM where Manchester United pulled off the same play with no foul throw awarded. Am I right in saying that the ball was thrown in by a Romford player and given back to us in recognition of the error by the linesman?

I think you're right, although a couple of the Romford players seemed a little surprised when we played-on.

 

Any chance of the League following the example set in the Rugby World Cup and suspending the officials involved for being inept and ignorant of the rules?!

I did mention it in an earlier thread, I didn't see the original throw as I was busy talking to someone, so only picked up the play when Danny Boy threw the ball to your player, but he appeared to throw it underarm, so I was a little confussed when you mounted an attack.

 

However I think it has all become clear now.
