It is with an extremely heavy heart that I have to say that I was wrong.

 

What I witnessed tonight showed me that. I really wanted us to put on a performance. Or get a goal. Or have a proper shot on target. Or keep the ball for more than 10 seconds. Or kick off at the beginning of one of the two halves (I think we managed that).

 

There's no point in saying how bad we were:the players showed that in their body language both during the game and after it. I'm really struggling for any kind of positives at all here but at least Mark was there in the bar after the game (so many of the team weren't). For goodness sake  - don't start blaming Mark. Just don't. And do you really think the players went out there with the intention of not playing football?

 

I decided to spend a bit of time behind the home 'dugout' and I have to say that I have to agree with those who have voiced negative comments about the lack of positivity coming from the mangement during the game. On top that that we now have a 'game changer'. I've already mentioned the boos in a previous post concerning a previous game, but tonight we got the slow hand-clap towards the end, and overall a very decisive change in the mood behind the goal.

 

As I said at the beginning of the post, I was wrong.

so what did mark say about the latest defeat ????? dont blaim me i was subbed ???? why did he walk down the tunnel why did he not stay and watch the very poor game ,, as mark is the captain he was out there to push the players ,didnt see any of that answers please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was most disapointed with Moses Ashikodi. Was expecting big things of him but he had an awful game. I'd rather see an Under 21 player with some spirit and comitment play if he's going to play that badly again.  Not good!

Mind you that first goal was never a penalty!

Soft but contact was made ....just. ref always gonna give it as soon as contact made??

Football is not a non-contact sport and if that was a penalty why did he not blow up for many of the sliding tackles with studs up as happened to Gunz a few minutes before.

I've seen penalties given for less.

 

Asked if he was tired because he was yawning at half time, their keeper said no. He said he was yawning because he was bored!

 

Still cannot get over the fact of how poor we were last night, and we had a Saturday off. What will happen against Dulwich after another Saturday off?

Anybody else notice how brown the goal mouths were last night? Even the assistant referees' run ups look brown. Too many games on the pitch?

Agree with every word from Andyetfc! 

The game last night was simply an embarrassment. 

Like i have said before steve has done his best but can not take us any further! 

Surely the chairman and the board can see this now after last nights performance?! its clear the players have lost there passion, and I dont blame them as they do not have a leader at this moment in time.

After the game myself and fellow supporters where talking about managers and we all said bring back Borg! why? because he will reignite the players passion, give us the leadership we all need and has knowledge and experience of the game, but would he help us out with the mess we are in now? highly doubted, or even jim chandler as he knows the club aswell! WE CAN NOT GO DOWN!

Supporter 30 i think there may be someone waiting in the wings if we decide to be positive and the board does what needs to b done asap.

 

Lets not leave it too late and these persons are offered a job at another club.

 

I personally would not wait till Dulwich i would get rid now and hopefully the people may be happy to take the job very soon.
