Red unsure cup V Uxbridge

A very entertaining game. Apart from about 15 minutes after half time we looked quite good, especially our young keeper who made some excellent saves. Some good goals from the team too, shame about the penalty though! Castello also got stuck in which was good to see.

Hopefully that streaking thing won't come back to haunt the club. The Uxbridge 3 must have said something quite serious to the linesman to be given a straight red too.

All in all a good evening bar the injury to Ollie which hopefully isn't too serious.

Was a shame about the penalty miss, that's cost me points in the prediction league!

We have indeed missed 5 penalties of the 8 we have been given this season which is a terrible record. Eddie scored from the spot against Uxbridge, Ashford and Chertsey.

To clear up any confusion in the team line-up we started with a 3-5-2 shape today with just Ben, Foulser and Lakey at the back. However when Ollie went off near the end of the first half we brought Wes on and switched to a 4-4-2. Wes would have started but was late arriving due to a problem on the trains getting out of London.

We rested Wooz and Guy tonight as they both had slight strains from Saturday and we didn't want to risk them. They will be fine for Saturday.

Really impressive debut in goal for young Matt Bonnett. Amazing to think he only turned 16 two weeks ago! Seb Castello also had a very good game and has impressed us every time he's played and trained with us. Both lads are a credit to Mark Betts and have bright futures ahead of them.

Excellent result against something of a bogey side. Particularly pleasing to hear Matt and Seb featured (and did so well by all accounts). Exactly what these games should be used for. With a relatively small squad you never know when these lads will need to step up for a league game so makes perfect sense to give them the opportunity.

I also think that for the youth setup to thrive the youngsters need to see that there is a chance to go on and get a chance in the first team.

Full credit to Bettsy for bringing them through and to Bakes and Unders for giving them the chance.

Trust me from what I could see you wouldnt of wanted it caught on camera !!

Enjoyable game, difference of opinion about the third goal I believe, but pretty certain it was Scott Harris that put it in the net and not an own goal.

Nice to see Adam score and well done to Matt and Seb, excellent.

Quite comfortable win......last two games have now produced 13 goals, 9 of them for Slough.

That's entertainment !!

Share the views on Matt Bonnet..........what a first game for him.........was talking to Jake S at half -time and he was half joking that he might not get back in the team if the youngster carried on like that !

Cant be at St Ives but hope the momentum and goal threat is continued

Gutted I missed this now. It's not every week you get a streaker at a Slough game, that's what the magic of the Red Insure Cup does to people! Anyone recognise them?

Well done to the lads on a good result, it's always nice to beat Uxbridge mainly because it happens so rarely. Delighted the two youngsters did so well. We must be closing in on the record for most penalties missed in a season!
