BAD GUY
Hats off to Mr Reader and Bedfont Sports. Didn't Mr, Reader get a previous grant to build their clubhouse, lights etc., ? I could be wrong tho' One can see what a little hard work can achieve for your club, if you don't buy a ticket you won't win the raffle Commiserations CC ....never give up !...... Windsor_Sec
Well done Dave/Bedfont Sports, like the man said above 'You've got to be in it to win it' and any funding application takes a lot of effort to get right ! Chris, do you know if Mark has asked for any feedback from his application ? If you know where it failed you can always resubmit in future with a stronger presentation that ticks the boxes they're looking for ! It may also be worth asking Bedfont [and other previous winners] if you could see a copy of their applications for the very same reason as above. We didn't miss out to Bedfont Sports (London) we missed out to East Grinstead Town (South East).
Windsor_Sec
Whoever it was Chris it's important to find out why their presentation was deemed better so you can tweak yours for next time ! Most applicants would have had similar needs so then It basically becomes a marketing exercise and in those situations there's normally something that stands out over and above everyone else and it's that 'Wow' factor that can help the decision go in your favour !
