V Potters Bar Town 9th November

That was a massive 3 points today, anything less and we would have started to fall off the pace.

Midfield and defence went missing for the first 30 minutes, coupled with some gilt edged chances missed.

I thought PBT looked quite good going forward but always looked likely to concede at the back.

Great comeback from the team, showing a real fighting spirit.

COYR!!

Absolutely mental game and a thoroughly entertaining afternoon. Great spirit shown by the lads to fight back from 3 nil down and a heroic performance from Johnny Dyer in particular, who I think if he can stay fit will become a real fan's favourite at Slough. Have to feel for their keeper who made 4-5 top draw saves.

A great 3 points all things considered but I have to say the first half hour was a complete shambles. No disrespect to Potter's Bar but if we do that against some of the teams we come up against in the second half of the month they will batter us.

I think it has all been said about the first 30 minutes, probably at half time by the management duo also.

There have been thoughts from some of us in past games about not wanting it enough-------certainly not true in the comeback today when the work rate was terrific and the outcome deserved in the end.

Some day we will play 90 minutes like that as we carry on up the table.

Johnny Dyer clear MOTM but what a difference when Adam Foulser and Ollie Burgess came on.......maybe Neil and Jon are closer to knowing the best starting 11 now

Agree, Adam Foulser really adds that bit of grit, determination and class to the back line and Ollie adds some much needed mobility to the midfield.
