A very good win and professional performance from us today. Kents played their part and were no push over, they battled until the end and managed a couple of chances. The game got abit scrappy towards the end and Kents began to lose their discipline with each other and the ref who was very very card happy from the word go. Luckily for everyone all 22 managed to stay on the pitch.

Well done to Kents today, we were just too good from start to finish really. 4-1.

Attendance 36 (h/c)

A game of two halves (aren't they all?) with the visitors taking the lead from a penalty and holding it until well into the second half when Chesham equalised and scored the winner after a goalmouth scrap.

With North Greenford off, I could also have chosen Leverstock Green (first win in God knows how long) or goal-whoring at London Lions, but of the three this was the venue I'd not been to for the longest. I think we can forget about hot food here now. 

 

 

Crawley Green 4 v 1 Kent Athletic Beds Senior Trophy Admission & Prog Nil

Along with Henfield Bee we decided to give Brentford a miss and take the opportunity to visit Crawley Green who were not using their G/S pitch at Barton Rovers (Which was OFF). Fortunately the M25 behaved itself as we had a late departure but we arrived a few minutes before the K/O. Facilites are basic, a roped off pitch with 2 dugouts, plus a decent size clubhouse. Crawley Green scored in the second minute and went two ahead when the Kent Athletic had a Seb Brown moment. After 30 minutes it was 3-0 thanks to great half volley from the Crawley Green left back. Second half was more even with Kent pulling a goal back from a penalty before Crawley Green wrapped it up just before the end. A mention of the ref who got most of the decisions right but somehow managed to caution 10 players 5 from each side. Only 3 or 4 bookings were justified and one of the linesman said it was down to an assessor watching as the ref was after promotion.

Deserved win it was for Old Bradwell against Grendon Rangers. Clarke Abrams played particularly well, scoring the first goal early on and causing constant problems with his pace and determination. After Grendon pulled a goal back to make it 2-1 with about 20 minutes to go things looked pretty dangerous for Bradwell, but a very neat finish from a free kick sealed the win. Many congratulations to the Kingfishers.
