VERTIDRAIN

A big thank you to everyone who paid up (only 3 people outstanding - 1 paying on Tuesday the others 2 not managed to get hold of yet) and also to those of you who just gave me money at the match. Any/all money over will be held towards the next session of vertidraining. As you can see this necessary ground work has really helped the players on the pitch................

as this is really an essential bit of equipment-does anyone else think that next season the club should be putting this into their budget and funding it themselves ?

Appreciate that there is only so much money coming in-and there are priorities on expenditure, but surely as it is known that the pitch is not great underneath-and it does rain in October/November most years ;this should be seen as essential expenditure. the cost of say £400 is less than the cost of one or two postponements.

I am sure that supporters remain happy to supplement club funding-but should this be on 'luxury items' as opposed to essentials.

maybe the club simply forgot to put it into this years planning ?

Speak to Keith or Cliff and they will tell you that monies coming in are all used up for other essentials like the playing budget.

If fans are happy to help the club in hiring the verti drain once or twice as season, good on them. IMO it shows what a great fan base we have here.

I guess its how one prioritises 'essentials'.

some might say-if you don't have a pitch to play on, not much point in having a playing budget.

others may say-is expenditure on players more important than paying the electric bill ,where if you don't pay that ,similarly not much point in having any players

Catch 22 situation.....who would run a non-league club????

Exactly Jab so, IMO, any little thing us fans can do to contribute must surely help the club.

yes defiantly and saying that I did not pledge any money on here for the cost of the vertidrainer so Mark next time I see you I will drop you £10.00 towards the cost
