Saturday 2nd November Fixtures

To be fair Chris, tipping someone at 14/1 as a dark horse is not exactly tipping them to do well.

However, I was mostly referring to the usual forum prediction threads that we see at the start of the season.

I get your drift Rich but perhaps I should have said each way then. You need to stop conceding late goals and then you will be there or thereabouts.

On the day, and so far, Frimley Green are the best side we have played along with Windsor and Cove  yet I can't quite see either having enough to get over the line. South Park look the most consistent at this time.

Come on Chris, your lot outplayed us for most of the game at your place. We only sneaked a draw with a stoppage time equaliser.

From what I have seen this season, Epsom especially with Kyle Hough up front will continue to pick up points. I was not overly impressed with either SP or FG. If I remember correctly, when we defeated FG in the Vase, the excuse was 5 or 6 first teamers missing. A couple of weeks back we won there 5-2. Make of that what you will. I didn't see HW beat us at our place and by all accounts were certainly good value for the win. Consistency is certainly going to be the key this season and there are certainly a number of clubs who will be in contention up to the very end. This season is shaping up to being the most exciting since we joined the league.

My comment, therefore, underlines that we haven't played many, if any, outstanding teams. We did play quite well v Windsor but I thought you looked well organised and kept going (hence the late leveller). On the day, ANYONE can beat anyone in this league. The more consistent sides will be up there in April. We get a second look at Frimley Green on Saturday and will try our best I'm sure!

A very frustrating ending down at the Ranch on Saturday as we led 3-1 going into the 92nd minute, yet drew 3-3!!

We were very good and thoroughly deserved to be leading. A fourth (which nearly came on a few occasions) would have wrapped it up, but in fairness, 3-1 should have been enough.

That's three wins and two draws from the last five and both draws were 92 minutes plus. Hopefully those four points won't cost us at the end of the season, but it's quite possible in a League this tight.

Interesting result at Hartley. We go to Raynes Park next Saturday but we always expect a tough game there. Their Manager does a great job with what they have there. No one ever tips them to do well, but they keep turning sides over because they never give up. They are the Jack Russell of this League!

I was there E&E watching a good game which Epsom should have come away with 3 points, but give hanworth their due in getting back with 2 injury time goals that was exciting stuff.   E&E Epsom need to know how to close off games, otherwise that just may well be their downfall this season as the last 2 draws highlight.  Could it be down to the players concentration having thought they had already won the game ?

Its South Park for me at the moment, the best team I have seen so far, but its still early doors and I haven't seen all the clubs yet so maybe a bit premature to nominate champions elect at this stage of the season.  Its good that the league is much closer than previous seasons, it shows that there is not much difference between the teams which makes for exciting season.....we hope!

So all to play for !
