Horley 1 v 4 Camberley.

Very one sided 1st half with  Camberley 4 up.  2nd half was more even and Horley scored the only goal and that was a cracker from distance.

If Horley play like that for the rest of the season they are in for a hard winter I am afraid.  Good Luck to them though.

Windsor 3 Ash Utd 2

Thanks for Windsor for putting on a good afternoon, shame they couldn't have shared the points

first half all windsor & we was badly let off. to make it worse we took an early lead from the pen spot, however windsor equalised quickly & should easily have had the game out of reach.

2nd half we played much better but found ourslves 3-1 down with 2 good finishes, did have a pen turned down even though the assistant was flagging for the pen. we pulled a goal back & had another good shout for a pen, then game over when the ref decided to send our centre off, but if you go on the first half performance windsor certainly deserved the win

I can't argue with what you have posted. I was concerned that as we had dominated the first half so much that we would rue all of the missed chances.  I thought that your other good shout, as you put it, was more of a pen than the one you did get which I thought was harsh from my view of about 40-50 yards away. We could have had a pen ourselves in the first half as well.

Really pleased you enjoyed the day and best of luck for the rest of the season.

Good performance from windsor as they creep up the league! Raynes park vale, what a great result against hartley wintney! Must get down to watch them soon. Molesey with another good win against frimley green which I've heard was a very one sided game.

Solid 4-0 win for south park can't see anyone stopping them.

Solid win for spelthorne yesterday against promotion chasing Epsom.

It was Epsom that started the game better, and despite (from my point of view) the goal being offside who took the lead after 15 minutes. Spelthorne had previously had a one on one well saved by the keeper, and were struggling to get to grips with the Epsom formation. However, two goals in a minute from lee staples broke epsoms momentum and killed the game, as Epsom huffed and puffed after that but never got going.

Spelthorne went from strength to strength and a staples hatrick meant spelt lead 3-1 at the break but it could have been more. I missed a sitter from a yard!

Second half started slowly, but again spelthorne grew into the half and Epsom seemed to tire as spelthorne went into cruise control adding goals 4,5, and 6 withouth any real threat at the other end.

All in all a great weekend, beating one of he top sides in the division, and seeing joint leaders Staines only pick up a point against Banstead. Knapphill still hold the ace cards though as their game in hand can see them go top, and Croydon and bedfont are still quietly picking up three points and will be promotion challengers for sure.

Went and watched Lammas v Banstead yesterday, not the best of games, hardly any goal scoring chances to note, best player on the pitch was Redrup in centre midfield, Stuart Bamford was solid as usual and Sean Ryan played very well at right back.

I thought Lammas needed more creativity out wide, saying that Lammas never looked in trouble, but definitely 2 points dropped.

Yea he was smudge but saying that he was everywhere, best player on the park by an absolute mile. Defo 2 points dropped for Staines and agree with Elllers, Staines never looked like scoring but in the same token never looked like conceding either. Poor two weeks for Staines and with Croydon away next week then Eversly two weeks after this is a crucial part for staines to see how there gonna progress for the rest of the season.

TRS, TSF and myself graced the terraces of Meadowbank.

I don't make feeble excuses.  Yes, we were dire, but unfortunately, for various reasons we had four of our key players un-available  -  2 carrying injuries.

The pen we got was a pen as i was behind the goal, abit lucky tho as the through ball to the forward wasn't good but it gave the right back chance to win the ball, however the forward got there just before he did.

anyway its about opinions & most people will never agree.....so just have to agree to disagree

Goes to show that it is all about angles. What mattered was the man in the middle decided it was and no amount of moaning and complaining will change his mind.

A very frustrating ending down at the Ranch on Saturday as we led 3-1 going into the 92nd minute, yet drew 3-3!!

We were very good and thoroughly deserved to be leading. A fourth (which nearly came on a few occasions) would have wrapped it up, but in fairness, 3-1 should have been enough.

That's three wins and two draws from the last five and both draws were 92 minutes plus. Hopefully those four points won't cost us at the end of the season, but it's quite possible in a League this tight.

Interesting result at Hartley. We go to Raynes Park next Saturday but we always expect a tough game there. Their Manager does a great job with what they have there. No one ever tips them to do well, but they keep turning sides over because they never give up. They are the Jack Russell of this League!

Er????    -    "The Vale are another enigmatic side who, if they can find more consistency, may prove to be dark horses this season. ODDS 14/1"

To be fair Chris, tipping someone at 14/1 as a dark horse is not exactly tipping them to do well.

However, I was mostly referring to the usual forum prediction threads that we see at the start of the season.
