Gentlemen,

I'm trying to give you an answer to the fgfc mess up on tuesday off a mobile phone so please bear with me.

Fgfc booked the fixture before the 23 Oct. The council booked the fixture with their contractor on 23 oct by email.

I have seen an email today confirming this and apologising for the mess up.

I will on saturday make a post on this site apologising to all concerned. Because i am in suffolk on business and struggling on a phone.

There is no money problems at fgfc that caused this but a huge contractor error. I am not the chairman of fgfc and have not been since early 2009(SMUDGE).I am the President. After me was Mark O'grady and in july this year Joanne Potter.

Joanne is a daughter of Bob Potter OBE who owns Lakeside in fg. Player budgets (if any) people leaving us putting them before line marking is all rubbish. I WILL PUT A NOTE UP ON SATURDAY REGARDING THIS ISSUE. I am embarassed, the club is embarassed and we expect to get fined and cover costs of Hanworth and visitors that evening. As those who arrived for the game are not recorded (Not there so i guess that was the case) the club will offer free entry to all. I'm sorry to all for this major foul up by the contractor, it was not a club generated problem.

I'm very sorry to everyone our players included

An open and honest statement of the facts, Craig.

Unfortunately, under the rules you will probably be liable to a fine, HOWEVER, it seems there are some extenuating circumstances.  I would certainly be looking for some form of restitution from the contractors in question.

Thanks BJR.

I have arranged a meeting with the manager at the council on monday afternoon. I have a 4.30 meeting on tuesday with the councils chief exec and I hope to have a meeting with the regional Director from the contractor on Wednesday after we have looked at legal options regarding the whole contract. The clubs secretary Mark O'grady will write to Hanworth apologising and getting a fix on their costs.

Regards Craig

Craig,I hope the League do not fine Frimley Green,as the matter regarding their pitch, was totally out of their Hands.Croydon FC's pitch this year is in the worst condition,I have seen it in 15 years, maybe this is down to Council Cut backs.Westfield last year had problems with their pitch due to Contractors not doing the job properly, this year they have taken the maintenance in house, and it looks a Picture.Maybe Frimley Green could do likewise. Finally nice to see that you have the ears of the Great and Good at the local Council,so please put in a Good word for Camberley FC and their proposed improvement plans at Krooner Park.

3 wins in a row now for Epsom all against decent teams.

Really tough away game on Sat at Hanworth, obviously want all three points but would take a draw.

Interesting all the people wanting to stick the knife into Frimley with players leaving etc. Surely this is the natural evolution of the squad going from div one to the prem, and the management are obviously looking for better players - probably one's that don't go on a forum slagging the club off.

And despite all of Frimleys supposed problems they're 8th and doing the best out of all the promoted teams.

I'm sure there are a number of teams below Frimley who'd gladly swap places with them and all their supposed problems!

All the pitches in Woking are Maintained by the council and their contactor SERCO.

Us (Knaphill) and Sheerwater have faired better this season because they and the council had a kick up the backside about standards.

That's the real reason the pitches are better. That and the ridiculous amount of hours us volunteers all put into maintaining them in our free time :)

Certainly a company with a very dodgy record of customer care and satisfaction !

Players come and go but would have been an idea to keep certain players who were performing exceptionally well and organised so well that goals were hardly conceded which is not the case recently.

No kidding big JR. We arrived to find out pitch hadn't been lined the other week. Only numerous angry phone calls got them to come and do it. The excuses were rubbish

Don't even get me started on how they water the paint down to save money and make it go further which I saw him do with my own eyes :-/

This was more than 50% smudge and the contractor admitted to me that they are under instruction to dilute the paint even more than usual to make it last longer. You could barely see the paint on the lines.

I'm not dignifying the other comment with a response frankly.
