Tuesday 29th October Matches

Recommended Posts

Comment was made when Windsor were there on Saturday that it looked like the lines hadn't been painted since August.

And that the grass hadn't been cut since August. Maybe they actually have cut the grass now because for sure there'd have been no chalk left if they have.

All in all a pathetic state of affairs.

Rother, totally agree, the grass was not the issue last night, a little long but at least there was more grass than mud.

Surely the league has to do something about the condition of some pitches? All well and good have the ground grading but when the pitches are not in a fit condition the league has to take action.

Just have to wait and see what the league will do now, fine for the club plus travelling expenses, surely its cheaper to buy a line marking machine???

Assuming the referee arrived in good time, couldn't somebody have marked the pitch out? Only takes 20 minutes after all!

Or is the pitch maintained by a contractor?

Apprently by a contractor Chris, the referee was there before 6.20 but it only became an issue when the lights were turned on at approx. 6.35ish, still gave them plenty of time to find a machine (as they do not have one) with all the local clubs in the area surely there was enough time to obtain one and mark the pitch? There didnt appear to be too much urgency from the Frimley staff to get this done.

From what I hear Frimley Green appear to be in some, shall we say, financial difficulties. The playing budget has also taken a big hit if what people are saying is true.

Even more so now Chubby, fine for failure to fulfil a fixture, plus travelling expenses.

Surely the ground comes first before player budget?

If any club has white liner available please send it to Frimley Green :o !

Feel sorry for Hanworth Villa going all that way for nothing.

Poor show I'm afraid or is there some ulterior motive why the lines have not been marked out ?  Frimley players availability ?

Just asking......... ;)

Chubbs are you saying that the Chairmans money has dried up or hes not putting his money (or less) towards their budget anymore ?   Notice of late that players have been leaving Frimley so could there be some truth in the matter ?

Maybe the Contractor is at fault, with all the inclement weather.we had over the weekend, marking out a Football Pitch came low in their priorities.Maybe the League should send them the Fine.As an aside what happens to all the League Fine money that they collect throughout the season, does anyone know.Everyone tells me that the Officers do it for the Love of the League, for Free,if this is the case they must have a Healthy Bank Balance.

Not sure who is in charge at Sandhurst at the moment but if the rumours on twitter are true then he's been sacked or left. Certainly appear to be a club heading quickly in the wrong direction. Who are the people running the club these days? They used to be a regular top 5/6 prem club.

Hey chubby, is that not old news with the manager being sacked or is this new bits? As I have been wondering for a few weeks or now and having watched them on a number of occasion was unsure who the manager was!!

Sandhurst will recover quickly, the new Youth setup over there has also brought in new investors. It will be a different club in a years time. I understand they wanted to look at the management situation over a few weeks before deciding on who to retain. I understand a former pro  academy gk coach is there and will be getting the job...

In the time I've been looking at the tables (since 2006), Sandhurst have never finished in the top 6. Their best was 7th in 2010/11.

Epsom were well worth their 4-2 win yesterday over a Chipstead team that no doubt switched some players around in the same way that Chertsey did last week. Still, two wins against Step Four sides and we are back in form and showing that our squad is good enough to go the distance this year.

We may have a better idea on whether we will actually do that shortly as our next two matches are Hanworth (A) and South Park (A) (League Cup).

Probably too short notice for Newhaven players to get time off work, Smudge.

I'm not that sure that many people in Newhaven actually work, Trevor !!!!

Ash utd 2 croydon 1 in the Surrey senior cup.

Can't comment on the game as I was watching espanyol v Malaga which ended 0-0,

However I did make sure the pitch was playable before I left for Barcelona

Seems to of been a lot joining Frimley though, 2 of last seasons title winning signed from step 4 clubs recently and only 2 leavers....obviously one of them took the line marker with them....
