Dizzy with it all

Referring there to the U18's north, U18's south,U18's premier.

U21's

completely confused and can't keep up with it all.

seem to be in a cup game every couple of days.(winning most of them which is better still )

Overall though-I get the impression that they are doing quite well-which is good stuff-particularly in their new guise/format-not that I've got an inkling of what that format is-but like the regular updates on the main site-and again-hopefully my correct impression is that they are doing rather well

We have an Under 21's that has replaced our reserve side, managed by Andy Woodcock. They play in the Ryman Under 21 South League, and are in 5th place having Played 5 Won 2 Drawn 1 and Lost 2.

Under 18's Premier side are managed by Will Graham. They play in the Kent Youth League Premier Division 1, and are currently in 2nd place having Played 3 Won 2 and Drawn 1.

Under 18's South side are managed by myself. We play in the Kent Youth League South Division. We currently lie in 7th place having played 4 Won 1 Drawn 1 Lost 2.

After this we have an Under 15's side managed by John Lewis, two Under 13's, two Under 12's, two Under 11's, Under 10's, two Under 9's, two Under 8's and two Under 7's....

Hope this helps....

This shows to me the tremendous improvement of the structure of the club and puts to bed those who continually suggest we should have more local players in our first team squad, the ladder to that is in place now lets see what it brings.  Personally I am really impressed with the youth development and the dedication of all of the coaches.

This information needs more exposure around Thanet, and dare I say it Hartsdown park. I think this is awesome to have so many opportunities for younger ones.

Just to add to that, the Under 21's and both Under 18's sides have fixtures on the Official site and will all have League Tables very soon (I am currently working on this at the moment).

The Under 21's also have basic squad details and I am just testing the code to allow to add the same for the Under 18's sides.

Next up will be to add the function to submit/show appearances and goalscorers for the above so the information on the site for the 3 senior youth sides will vastly increase in the next few weeks.

With the way I have written the code, it will be simple to use it for all of the other youth sides too so over time we will hopefully cover all of Margate's sides in the one place. Getting people to keep on top of updating them all may be a different matter though!

If you give me an idiots guide I should be able to update my Under 10's!

Sorry Margate Lad last night is an example of what the club can and will do for young local talent, the Ryman League is a very tough League with many ex pro's and non league journeymen, its great to see the new structure of the club and I thought that you should be appluading it, as I have said before name be local footballers who we have missed and are playing in levels above the Ryman League?, ultimately if you are good enough you are old enough, we tried the local route before and should have been relegated two years in a row? There is now every opportunity for the youngsters to progress and several of the better ones are doing so, long may it continue.

GT, i do applaud it and if they continue to use these local young players i will applaud that too. it has really proved my point that these young lads just want to play for their town and dont need to be paid hundreds of pounds but they will still put in 100% and if given the chance will show that.

That is a great attitude from them then and I hope the structure brings them on, I am sure all of us would love to see local lads in the side but the bottom line is they have to be good enough and I believe there are now better opportunities for them to progress.

I believe this is why we went into an U21's league, instead of staying in a poor Kent League, to enable some of the better players to progress futher and ultimately,if good enough, join the first team squad.

As GT and PZ have said this is already happening this season.
