score v lewes

Having scored 9 last week- - thus responding to the management teams demands -and now looking for some kind of consistency, pretty damn certain that we won't score a single goal v Lewes.

not a problem really as long as we don't concede one either.

That's the rub with non league football in particular-unless you are a top 3 side-the only thing that is consistent is the inconsistency itself.

No ones fault-players are part time-have difficult days-so will always perform differently week by week.

frustrating all round-but that's what you get at this level-can't see it ever changing myself.

just hope defence is on form on Saturday and we can take a point

As a refreshing change from my usual 2-1 forecast, I am predicting a 13-1 result in the Trophy.

This is me being in my usual supreme optimist mode . . . giving every team member and a couple of subs

a chance to score a goal . . . NO PRESSURE GUYS!

I assume you forecast 2-1 to Margate for this weekend and will give us your forecast for Tuesday vs Folkstone at a later date.

Bet Victor has us at 12/5 to win. All firms have Lewes odds-on to win. Their home form isn't great so I think 13/5 for the draw (from a few firms) is tempting.

Some bookies not so sure now about Lewes  giving 21/20 for Lewes win so not attracting enough bets at evens. Best odds Margate win 13/5 bet365 and 3 others.

well the score wasn't what we wanted.

not a great day.

Vines definitely did not deserve to have been sent off

not sure it would have made a big difference to the result ,but we will never know.

I think the lewes team has been together a bit longer-and maybe that was the difference today

Thought Lewes deserved to win-simply for taking their chances, and would not say the score flattered them; but equally we were not that bad either.

Goals just came at the wrong time for us-but until their third goal-always thought we had a bit of a chance.

Not sure why Kinch who adds steel and experience (too much at times admittedly) isn't given more game time.

Not the greatest of  games from either of our full backs ,but in the games I have seen-they have otherwise had good games ,so just the proverbial bad day at the office all round

Fakinos impressed me when he came on
