1) If Joe Stevens scores tomorrow can I claim an assist?

2) Tomorrow will only be second time in our history we've played in front of a four-figure crowd. I hope the result is not the same as the only other time.

This is actually starting to get a bit boring now... New poster joins 12 days ago, and spends first 11 posts criticising the management. I think we get the point now (although possibly not the agenda/motives).

Excellent point Barney. I was wondering the same thing myself: "Methinks 'The Viewer' doth protest too much"!

The Viewer almost solved my insomnia problem til Behind The Goal stepped in.

Talk of sacking Steve is both ill educated and disrespectful.

Like it or not and like him or not he is our most successful manager ever. Every season we have seen achievements. First season Play Off Finalists, Second Season best runs in the Trophy and FA Cup to date and finished 6th only due to Injuries galore at the wrong time, third season promotion 4th season consolidation 5th season clearly hampered by poor refereeing decisions (even the FA agreed with us on that one) and a spate of multi injuries, however once the players are back we will be stronger.

A team is only as good as it's strikers and we have goals in us therefore once everyones fit we will win some and lose some, plus a mid table finish is a decent target for which we are only 3pts adrift of.

Take Rooney and RVP from United or Sturridge and Suarez from Liverpool and they too will struggle badly. We've lost Whiteley, Gunz and Hope recently to injuries plus they've played with knocks before breaking down, even Campbell has been playing with an injury, it's been horrendous, so let's not stick the boot in when things are up against us as the team need all the support they can get and nothing else.

Enfield United, i think that your comments over the years have expressed your undying love for the current managment team so i feel that your opinions are probably not what the majority of the fans actualy think. Sorry to be so blunt but thats what i think.

Whenever there is any critisim of Steve however small you leap to his defence. A neutral looking in may think you are somehow related to him or should be.

That Cold End character is a useful little scamp, isn't he?!

I'd actually like to take 'credit' for being the first to call for Steve's head - but not until December. 'The Viewer' has just jumped on my bandwagon and given it an inappropriate shove!

Anyway, I now predict a run of good form with all this chat being confined to history.

Me to TCC. Come the end of November we'll be mid table again, and hopefully still in the FA Trophy?

As I pointed out in this thread or another, the officials did cost us the game against Billericay. Down to 10 men and 1-1 or 11 v 11 and 1 nil up with 20 minutes to play is what it boils down to. Add on the 3 points and look at the league table.

Some of the teams in this division do have a massive budget. At the moment we cannot compete and simply changing the manager will not alter that fact.

If you took away the funding form Chelsea would they be where they are? Of course not. If you took away the funding from Hornchurch and Maidstone would they be where they are? Of course not. We're a supporters owned club, we cannot spend what we don't have. I'll repeat, changing the management team doesn't alter that fact.

However, if we're still in the same position we are now after say another 6 league games (when I fully expect points to be won), I too would expect some changes. Let's see what a fully fit squad has to offer before hitting the panic button.

If you were in charge of the club ( the viewer ) I'm pretty sure Steve wouldn't want to work for you anyway. He is working for decent people on the board and in the majority a great set of supporters . He has said many a time it's their club and he also knows their will be a time when he is no longer in charge. His staff and himself put a lot of work and effort in to the club and don't do it for financial gain. Why don't you go and have a chat with him when you get a moment and express your views ( which couldn't be more clear ) at least he would be able to respond to your crusade to see him sacked. Shall is try and arrange it ?

The good thing about a forum is that people can passionately air their views, comments and opinions. So here are mine in response to EU's.

No one can ever take away the fact that our club was very successful in its formative years and won numerous trophies which now form a part of our history. Now some people may say that they were Mickey Mouse trophies and not worth winning. However, the wins produced a feel good factor which, at the moment, is missing. Supporters appeared to enjoy the wins and the management team, under Jim Chandler worked wonders. Unfortunately, his era came to an end and there followed a period of uncertainty with numerous managers coming and going. What we cannot do is forget all that. It happened, just like the rough time our club is going through now.

Everyone knows it's down to the players to perform on the pitch and for SN to do his level best with the resources he has at his disposal. Let's let them get on with it. If it doesn't happen, then some people will have to make important decisions. Until that time, then let's all get behind the team, whichever team is put out.
