Zippy
Should it have stood? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_ug2aLinbw I remember years ago, when Gary Crosby (then of Nottingham Forest) scored a similar goal against Manchester City, and referee Roger Milford allowed it to stand: Goal or no goal? Big J R
I know I'll be accused of being biased, but it was a goal in my opinion.. Matters not - We still would have won anyway !, so it's academic now. Lets see if the F.A. say anything about it.
Zippy
I think that as the ball wasn't in Marshall's grasp, and bearing in mind the Gary Crosby incident, the goal was perfectly fine. Marshall had time to welly the ball up the field - it's a cardinal sin for goalkeepers to let the ball out of their grasp in their area. Oh dear...sounds like a euphemism
Seaney The Sheep
the goal should not stand as the keeper is still in controll of the ball when bounced.
