domcassells
The Reserves trained there today. It's a fantastic opportunity for the club, and credit goes to Ealing Council, for being so supportive of our community venture. As i understand it, the facility will house 2 Cricket pitches, and various football pitches, which will serve the Southall Youth sector, an all weather pitch for the first team to train, which will allow us to train on any night. A brand new clubhouse with pavilion will be built with multiple changing facilities, and a bar, utility room etc. A real hub for Southall football club all the way from first team to under 7's. It's very community centric, and it's mission will be to involve as many local kids as possible, to give them access to first class sporting facilities. I don't think this will be the permanent home of Southall's Men's teams, for matchday's, as i think there is still other plans to elsewhere locally for that, but you never now, depending on how good the set up is, it may be somewhere to play in the interim. Having attended the press conference it really is an exciting time to be involved with Southall football club.
