Maidenhead-what's the point.

I'm so glad we beat them after hearing their manager say it's our cup final, who does he think he is exactly? What an arrogant man he is and I bet he wish he hadn't said what he did now. Engage your brain before you speak next time 'Drax'...

I think it was the age old problem of individuals rather than a team.......

We really did take the game to them and once we got our 2 goal cushion they never looked like coming back into it. Granted both teams had chances but I think had Maid scored again we had enough in the tank to up our level once again.

A superb performance and once again Guy Hollis was superb and is looking better and better as each game goes by, Foulser is going to find it hard to get back into the team the form Guy and Dave are in. Jake also had his best game in a Slough shirt (even with his second half kicks for territory ;) ). Final mention to McClurg in the centre of midfield who was superb also and his best game in a slough shirt.

Will be interesting to see how serious we take the league cup, I have always thought of the B&B as being better in my opinion as its a couple of rounds and you get games like Sat and Wycombe at home. Do not see the appeal for the league cup but perhaps Chertsey will be taking it more serious as a welcome distraction to their league campaign so far.

Mark,

We'll be taking tomorrow's game seriously and as with any other game we'll be looking to win it. Clearly the league cup (and B&B cup) don't carry the same importance for us as the league, and even the FA Trophy, and for that reason we won't be taking chances with any players carrying knocks. But will be a good opportunity to look at one or two players who are returning from injury and also a few who have been on the fringes of the side.

My understanding is that Chertsey will be doing the same with their FA Trophy game in mind at the weekend and they may rest a few.

Glen, whilst agreeing with you, but what is the difference between Drax saying it was our cup final, and the attitude adopted by our fans over the years to lower ranked teams. I do not just mean Hotspur either!  We often read on here that we should beat such and such as they are only a village or pub team.  Works both ways...

He probably doesn't realise ( or does but won't acknowledge it )that in the standing of non league football (We do not mean current league positions )Slough Town has a much greater reputation than Maidenhead.
