Good result today.Maidenhead not so MASSIVE as we were led to believe.We do sympathise with the supporters having to acknowledge that we were right again, but we are only being honest in our assessment of teams,please don't say Chertsey are a strong side mr. manager.

well Chertsey did win today for the 1st time this season in the league B)

 

 

superb all round performance by the Slough boys today. everyone put in a good performance.

 

Maidenhead had chances but we dealt in the most part pretty comfortably with them

 

didn't have a huge amount of chances ourselves but clinical stuck away the guilt edge chances when they arrived

 

very impressive even if its only the B&B cup. some may say Maidenhead didn't care about this cup but the lineup selected and the comments from their manager before hand very much suggests otherwise.

 

nice to have the chance to play Wycombe once more and hopefully a reasonable amount of their fans will be convinced to come along for that game.

An excellent performance from the team today, the defence was pretty solid, especially Jake who made some excellent saves when Maidenhead could actually get some shots on target, and McClurg was excellent in the middle.  It was certainly a lesson in taking the chances when they present themselves, which Maidenhead just couldn't do.  In the second half we killed the game well and saw it out.  Looking forward to the next round.  COYR!

Well done to the lads for another superb performance, very hard to pick a man of the match there were so many candidates. Also well done to both clubs for getting it played on a Saturday, it had a good local derby feel to it and it's nice to win one for a change. The first goal was a brilliant team move, one of the best of the season and I hope it was caught on camera. We pretty much looked like scoring every time we went forward.

 

As for Maidenhead, well maybe they should have played their reserves!  :lol:

A thoroughly professional performance. Thought Maidenhead ran out of ideas after the first half hour, once Sean had got the measure of their 10 and 11 who had played well to start with. Excellent defensive work to keep them at arm's length, good midfield pressing and up front Scott and Ed gave their defenders a torrid time.

Highlights: great passing football between 4 or 5 Slough players, shot just wide - would have been goal of the season contender; Guy Hollis doing Higuita- style scorpion kicks in the warm-up.

Lowlights: 5 of their lot (not regulars apparently) singing Leeds United 'songs' and generally being annoying.

MotM: Guy Hollis

Now, bring on Wycombe...

Hotspur, just wondering in your honest opinion, who would be a tough game for Slough?

There will be plenty of tough games ahead and regardless of what people think about us, we believe we can get promotion.

What annoyed us most was the management contradicting what we considered good information for them and the team-which proved to be correct.Still has it has been proven on here many times people can't be told or don't listen.

Have to be honest most of the senior Berks and Bucks sides nowadays treat the competion as a " micky mouse cup " not even as important as that other m.m. league cup.Still that's taking nothing away from a descent win.

Roll on to Tuesday and a very very strong Chertsey ( lol ).
