So Far So Good ?

Recommended Posts

So far this season what has been your fave home and away game for what ever reason ?

Hanwell Town 7 Oxhey Jets 2 (League)

It had been to long since we had won against the Jets so to win 7 2 against them and play the way we did was great.

Kentish Town 3 Hanwell Town 4 (FA Vase)

2 0 down at half time and a I.Bywater super show in the second half saw us get the win. Also always enjoy my visits to Hillingdon Borough FC and the Kentish Town FC people were top people.

Favourite home;

                         Ampthill town 5  Colney heath 4

This game had it all, 3-1 at half time, we could here the rollicking  the Clney manager gave his lads at half time from the bar. They came out a different team and soon got back to 3-3 then 4-3 then 4-4 then we scored in last 5 minutes 5-4, for the neutral fan this would have been great value for the £6 entry , even after defeat the Colney people were gracious,  fair play, they are also a big strong bunch of lads, but our football was sublime at times.

Favourite away;

                          Harefield 2  Ampthill 3

Although this game was'nt our best, we had for one  reason or another about 6 players unavailable and were down to the bare bones, 4 mins to go we were losing 2-1 then our striker scored a great header followed by a tremendous 25 yard free kick in injury time into the top corner, definately a victory  gained from a certain defeat.The best away game where we played superbly was London lions away 5-1 after going behind to an early goal.

Think the favourite might be tues night now :)

 It was good to get that one out of the way and get the result , which is even more rewarding.. I think our best away performances have been London lions and Biggleswade, but Harefield wins it for me because of the circumstances, but did you miss that one?

Home - the 0-0 with Broxbourne. Not a dull 0-0 at all and we showed we can compete with the top teams in Div 1 despite those tipping us to go straight back down to Div 2.

Away- the Cup win at Stony. Enjoyable game which either side could have won, but luckily we did.
