urchinman1961
I remember when Grays had a good side i should know they murdered us five one in the bad old days, today was sweet revenge they were bad but we made them look bad the game was over after 15 minutes and always a case of how many it could have been more great saves penalty miss and near misses .Great tactics they didnt know what hit them and this a side unbeaten at home momentum with us a little rest from the league now.We can achieve great things shame we didnt have this squad last season
cup of tea
Really don't have a lot to add to that. Scoreline says it all (1-5) We've got some firepower up front and the midfield is looking a lot sharper. Looking forward to the Wealdstone game now. paokman
Was it the fact that Grays were that bad or we were so good? A completey different Grays side from the one we played in the cup final
paokman
And where has there support vanished to?
cup of tea
Good questions! For me, we are in good form but I think that the Grays defence helped us today, left their keeper stranded on a couple of occasions. They probably get bigger crowds then us at home, but not by a great margin - certainly doesn't warrant one of them claiming that they had 800 out of 1050 at the ESC final (with 150 officials/guests as well), leaving us with only 100 fans there. Eastside Urchin
We should look at our support too though We are top of the league yet many of our regulars simply didn't seem to bother turning up and our home gates are hardly anything to write home about either

cup of tea
Certainly interesting at the top - Team to watch out for at the moment is Bognor I reckon. Still, you can't do a great deal better than winning 5-1 away against a side previously unbeaten at home.
Mr short
I must say this side is a joy to watch at times and I still don't think we're playing to our maximum. Solid at the back,a real mix of pace power and skill in midfield and a real cutting edge upfront. Grays were dispatched with real ease,in fact making them look a side that might face a relegation battle. The game was virtually over as a contest as soon as we scored the second. Full credit to the management for assembling what looks like one of the best squads we've had for years.
