Goldaming Saturday

Should be a good game- We understand they are a top side and will be difficult to beat, all our scouts have confirmed this, after all they did draw with Swindon Supermarine who are third in their league and we understand also that they are virtually a new side so are keen to give a good impression.

Anyway its a bit of reverse psychology to help the sycophants to sleep at night.

Just for info and to give you another option there is a pub right by the ground called the Leathern Bottle which is a lot closer to the ground than the town centre.

Hope to see a good number of Rebels over there tomorrow for what is sure to be a cracking game!

According to Twitter its going to be another tough game-surely this is a management ruse to get us not to expect what should be a passage into the next round. The England manager comes out and says we expect to qualify for World cup-there by giving everyone confidence, all this rubbish about it makes the other side try harder is silly.

We think it should be  a comfortable win.

Anyone with an ounce of common sense will understand today will be a very tough game with Godalming being fired up to prove a point to the players and managers who moved away from Wey Court over the summer to join up with the Rebels. Think the home side will have something extra about them today and we'll have to put in a real shift to progress as it will be a bit of a battle. Good luck to all the players and managers for the game today and hoping for a positive result come 5pm. COME ON YOU REBELS!

We understand that most of Goldaming's team were new to Goldaming and had nothing to do with last years players or managers-so why would they worry about Slough visiting them they had no point to prove-rather surprised at your deductions there Gary.

Next round is in two weeks and we will play at home to either Merthyr Town or Yate Town, who drew 0-0 today.

Good result, fairly comfortable in the end and some decent play, keeps the uneaten streak going, COYR!

Also, Beaconsfield lost which should put our game on the Saturday.

Probably edged the first half but we were certainly much the better team in the second half.

Looked comfortable at 2-0 until Sean's unfortunate own goal which gave Godalming a bit of fresh impetus and made it a nervous end to the game.

Well done to the team and management on a good all round performance.
