Westfield 1 v 1 Camberley.

 

Westfield started best but Camberley took the lead with a penalty for handball.  1-0 at half time.  Westfield equalised with a decent free kick early in the 2nd half.  Bradshaw was the busiest keeper after that making 3 saves but I think a draw was a fair result.  Not too sure how the Westfield 3 stayed on the pitch though !!

 

First time I have been since it has been done and it is a great place and more councils need to take a look at the facility.  Good to bump into Mick Sullivan and Roger Steer and of course deal old Smudge who didn't recognise me at first

 

Oh and apologies to any ladies I may have upset today

 

And finally a lovely touch on the matchball sponsor today in memory of a Camberley fan who passed away a few years ago.  He had mates at Westfield who were the sponsors today for that very reason. Nice touch.

Weren't there today and heard Lammas looked good and the bedfont sports boys have strengthened them!! Also hear old skiper Sean Ryan is back too!! Looking forward to see them next week!!

(Official) not Officials, 2 assistants were good, just the same rubbish from the man in the middle, he is poor everytime we have him, starting to think he has a vendetta against the club!!!!!

What's happening at Epsom - they lose 4 - 3 to team one of their supposed title rivals beat 5 - 0 the previous week!

 

Hanworth & Hartley looking like the main contenders along with Epsom, South Park and maybe Windsor.

 

Also can't believe what's happened to Windsor after watching them comfortably beat South Park several weeks ago!

 

It's going to be a long season with lots of twists and turns.

Ash Utd 2 Molesey 0

 

finally a league win & was made to work very hard to get it.

 

got off to a flying start opening the scoring inside the first ten mins & created several more good chances. As the half went on Molesey came into the game & could easily have leveled but for some better finishing. However by now the ref was making himself center stage with some outrageous decisions which was confusing players, management & supporters

 

2nd half Molesey started well & our keeper had to make a couple excellent saves before we scored again. Game then lost shape as ref took center stage & reduced Molesey to ten men. Produced nearly as many yellow cards to us than we had all season. Molesey fought bravely but we stood firm to gain the win

Of course if the league did take action against Dorking we would have Smudge on here having a right pop at the league.  Instead they do, what I consider to be, the right thing by Dorking and Chubby has a go.

 

No win for the league really is it.  Damned if they do and damned if they don't.

 

Krooner below the belt comment their dear chap,you will realise one day,that unless their is a fine it ,for the League,they do not raise their heads above the parapet.Supported Cove,Molesey.Colliers Wood,in their time of need.My opinion is they need to get out a bit more,and support their Member Clubs.After all they do charge a Membership Fee.

Not really Smudge I was just using it to make a point really.  Had they penalised Dorking I am sure you will agree that you would have a pop.  SO I was merely proving the damned if you do and damned if you don't comment.

South Park 5 vs Bedfont Sports 3

 

Another good 3 points for us on our quest to the top of the table!

 

Going 2-0 down, with a quality free kick from their left winger, there were flashbacks of the cove game. But we showed some character and pulled a goal back just before half time through Michael smith

 

I think after half time there was only going to be 1 winner and we absolutely dominated. Goals from Lavery, Chris smith, Adam Pullen and Nathan Jupp,on his league debut, sealed it for us.

 

This is a game we probably would have lost last year so it's good to see we have the character to fight back from tricky positions!
