cup of tea
Top of the league - sounds good for however long it lasts. Needed to win as Dulwich would have overtaken us otherwise. Carshalton have got some pace and some skill as well, and they keep going which is a good trait to have. I think that they may be lacking some experience in certain areas which is possibly costing them. Can't see them getting relegated. As for us, not the greatest performance but there was a lot of hard work from the players tonight - and we really have some options up front now, Good to see George Purcell get a few minutes under his belt and Bremner looks a very useful player. Be nice to see if we can somehow get him in the starting lineup, maybe as an attacking midfielder but who do you drop? Nice problem for Jimmy to have,
Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
Good game tonight. Thought we played well against a lively Carshalton, which i agree with the above, shouldn't be so low down in the table.
shrimper
we played better in the 2nd half and really should have scored a few more but not a bad match to watch and we are top of the league does have a nice ring to it even if it only lasts a short while for now anyway
Mr short
Was worried about this game because I felt it would've been very easy to underestimate them. Credit to the boys we looked very much at it,scored the opener and I then thought there would only be one winner. We then conceded a soft goal and it seemed to knock us out of our stride. The introduction of Bemner worked very well and we gradually took the inicitive again and got a deserved second goal. What matters most is that even though we're not playing to our maximum,we still have the knack of picking up crucial wins. Really looking forward to Saturdays game and one thing I noticed was how well Payne and Bremner linked up..
paokman
Top of the table we are so it's hard to understand why Jimmy didn't get manager of the month. That went to the Bognor boss? No one likes us, we don't care!
cup of tea
We've also gone 14 matches unbeaten as well. Not all of those games have been easy fixtures either (Wealdstone at home, Margate and Dulwich away for example - Dulwich having a 100% record at home apart from playing us). I think Jimmy, the staff and players deserve some credit for a great start to the season.
