SCR Official statement - Phil Page / Rick Hack

Recommended Posts

To confirm this week by mutual agreement SCR and Pagey have terminated his contract with the club for the current season.

Terms were discussed and agreed with Phil during the closed season whilst he was still working for the police which affected his ability to commit to training and playing (despite him not missing a game at the end of last season). Shortly into this season Phil found himself back in the banking world and this change of career path re-opened his ability to commit to training and regular Saturday football and a subsequent conversation with Pagey and Darren in which Pagey stated he wanted to have another crack at Blue Square lead them to agree an exit window at the end of September.

Phil will be returning to Spencer at Farnborough in due course, but in the meantime all at the club would like to extend our thanks for the key role he played in blasting us back to the Premier division at the 1st time of asking and his attitude and account this term which has been very impressive considering we are only a few months into the season.

Phil is one of life’s truly decent chaps and the door at SCR will always be open to him, a true gent, a quality footballer all at the club wish him every success for the future.

Additionally Rick Hack has taken a sabbatical from coaching the 1st team until the end of this calendar year due to work commitments.

Rick is self employed and has had to take a contract which see’s him stopping in Kent Mon-Fri, unfortunately he feels that with this, disappearing most of Saturday may prove a bridge to far for his relationship… Again we wish Rick all the best and look forward to seeing him as soon as the work permits.

I know people at Dorking F.C. will all wish Pagey well and will watch his progress with interest.

All the best Phil.

Pagey was playing beneath himself but done the business for Mole Valley, showed a fair bit of loyalty returning to the club who seem to have propelled him, after his previous exit from 'Boro, fair play for that and good to see him challenging himself now he can again, sure he will do well.

But what of Valley, stats seem to say they only scored (well mostly!) when Pagey did, heading for Div One again?
