Excuse my ignorance as I really don't know the ins and outs regarding Wexham Park.Dont get me wrong, I know it's your old ground but that's about all I do know.

But after seeing pictures of it above ,with the lines drawn out etc,why do you not play there anymore, who does or plans to etc

I know you obviously have plans for a ground but just wondered about the history regarding WP.

I understand from reading bits of this thread that it's a bit of a touchy subject , just curious

WP is in private ownership. The family that own the ground did own the club but pulled the plug in 98. Part of the reason for this is because the ground falls within two boroughs and so plans to redevelop the ground (we were pushing for league football at the time) were thwarted by South Bucks.

 

Immediately after 98 the club under new ownership rented the ground from the former owners but eventually there was a falling out.

 

Essentially at the moment the use of WP would be no different to ground sharing as we would pay rent and not benefit from the bar, tea bar or club house.

But why is the pitch all marked out and the stadium looks in good nick,

No idea, been rumours that big clubs would use it for their academy side
