Midweek Games - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 1/2/3 October

So the referee Crawley blew the whistle for the free kick, then as the ball went in he let the goal stand?

PTG do the rules allow that?

AFC are and will still be near the top (if not top) by the end of the season, don't worry OD'S, Smellynuts and co. !

You have to admit that controversy follows you around like a poodle doesn't it so the first thing I did was check who the Officials at Lowfield were.

I assume by your description of the incident the Referee blew the whistle to stop play and then the ball went into the goal. If that is what occurred then the goal should not have been allowed to stand.

Sadly i didn't capture the incident at Hoddesdon. I was a Codicote v Bedford which went to penalty kicks. The swearing and barracking from Bedford's bench to the referee was appalling in my opinion and the match included the most unbelivable comment I've ever heard at a footy match.

from THE COLD END -

"It came in extra time when the referee sent a Bedford player off for using foul and abusive language. I heard the referee explain to him quite clearly "you told my colleague (the assistant referee) to F OFF so it's a straight red for foul and abusive language". As the red card was brandished a voice from the away dug out bellowed "REFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF THAT'S F***ING APPALLING!!!" I really couldn't believe my ears."

I know there is always going to be swearing (let's be honest we're never gonna cut it all out) but this was awful. The ref got slagged off throughout. I take my 6 year old lad to most Saturday games now so I wouldn't of been too happy with him having to listen to 'F**KIN EL REFFFFFFF' every 10 secs.

Bedford have some decent players...if they concentrated on footy they might do a bit better??

Yes, I expect it would have been a different report had Jonno penned it

An 'unsavoury incident' eh?

Coming back to the so called 'unsavoury incident', I have it on good authority that a players jaw was broken and as his Father happens to be a Police Sergeant charges are likely to be pressed!
