The Hoddesdon Town match report will make interesting reading then.

I just heard on the grapevine that it got quite tasty to put it mildly and cards were being brandished like confetti, I did check to see whether you were on the game!

I was with the reserves last night watching us soundly spank St Mags 6-0 in their own back garden. I've heard what went on from the players and management and cannot comment for a number of reasons.

Top drawer from the dirty clarets last night. Went into the game with a game play and every man stuck to it perfectly.

With our GK/stand in manager playing cb due to another 5 changes to the starting 11 needed to be made again, in all 23 players were unavailable last night. BUT...the lads that came in were brilliant.

A fairly even and not very exciting game but felt we deserved the win as Colney Heath really struggled to break the shape and work rate down.

Our winner, although well worked, should never have stood. The Ref has had an absolute mare. A clear foul on the edge of the Heath box but our player manages to get a shot away, as the shot takes a deflection and loops up the Ref blew his whistle, the ball then drops in over the gk. The Heath players went mental. Can't blame them. Although the blowing of the whistle did not effect the gk he didn't realise and was trying to save it.

But like I said a top performance and result.

(That positive enough for ya Nuetral?) (complex)

Can't wait to hear DirtyClaret's match report!!

Bad week for AFC which is a shame!

Would love to hear the details on Hadley vs Hoddy! Where's The Cold End and his camera when you need him!? :P

Yes very bad week for AFC. Only 1 point out of the 9 avaialble against teams around us, not title winning form.

Was better though against Ampthill but could not get any worse really after Colney Heath.

Wednesday 2nd October

DIVISION ONE CUP FIRST ROUND

2-1 Southall v FC Broxbourne Borough

I thought FC Broxbourne Borough were the better team over the 90 mins so it was a very good win for Southall FC. The FC Broxbourne Borough striker Murat Karagul  gave the Southall defence a torrid time for the whole of the game. Southall looked very weak at the back at times and for me this current Southall team will not be good enough to go up they need a few more decent players maybe a couple of older players that have been there and done it before.

Similar thing happened at Chesham last night. Last seconds of injury time, the ball breaks away and just as the Chesham striker bears down on the goal, the ref blows for full time. Needless to say, those in attendance were NOT impressed

I would have been disappointed had you not checked!  :)

Nothing to do with me.
