We heard Egham will be a tough nut  to crack-yes about as tough as hitting a Walnut  with a 14 pound hammer.We are expecting a win !

They have four wins and two draws from their last six league matches, having scored sixteen goals and conceded only three...... compared with our four wins, one draw, one defeat, nineteen goals for and seven against.

 

Both us and Egham have lost to Beaconsfield, and whereas we drew at Uxbridge, they won 5-0.

 

Their recent results appear to indicate they are strong defensively and it will be a very close match..... if we do manage to win I will be delighted!

They have three recent ex Rebels in their line up who will be trying to prove a point against us.

There is nothing wrong in you EXPECTING us to win but I cannot understand why you think it will be EASY.

Any team that is 3rd in the table and have beaten Uxbridge 5-0 deserves a lot of respect.

Second time u've done this hotspur even after a majority of people said that its not a good thing and that players and managers read it, convinced now that u do not have the clubs best interest at heart who ever you are!

We see the game as winnable ( sorry if you don't ) as for not having the club at heart- why would I/WE have been supporting them for 50+ years ? By the way did my predictions cause us to lose the other games- no of course not.

Most people think you are just on a wind-up and have got fed up with reading such inane comment from you.Not all the time but mostly.

 

I'm all for honest opinion,as are most of the fans on here but you really are causing unnecessary strife for the club by such outrageous post.

 

Why do you have to ruin it for the Slough fans who want the forum to survive.You are not making it easy for those of us that want it to continue.

 

It seems that you are going to be the instigator/thorn in the side that gives the officialdom the right to shut this forum down.

3Spirit I'm disappointed to find you joining the tiny band that threaten closure of this forum The reasons put forward are simply not credible imo Anyone reading the posts intended to be provocative and trouble making also reads a lot of contributions debunking them making it absolutely clear that they are not the mainstream opinions. Its made clear that the site is unofficial and opinions expressed are personal and in no way represent the view of the Slough Town Football Club or its officials and now the official link has been removed there is no direct connection.It seems to me that a small group seek to suppress any opinion that isn't the same as theirs and that's not right. As regards todays game I think we are in for a tougher game and probably more robust but Im hopeful of another win.

I'm afaid IrishAdrian,you are not aware of the full facts.There seems to be an increased effort by the club to have the forum closed.

 

I do NOT want to see this happen but Hotspur is just not helping to keep it alive by writing such goading,baiting,reactionary stuff.

So I thought fans should be aware of this fact.

 

I agree with you,about this being an unofficial FANS forum and it is galling that fans cannot express an opinion but we[fans] need to address why they want to close us down,for it to survive.

Hotspur,needs to tone down his inflammatory remarks,as these are not helping the cause for the majority who wish the forum to continue.

If they are really bothered by fans banter we suggest A visit to Mother Care( toys out of the pram kinda thing-oh and a good line in nappies!!! )

Anyhow it is silly to talk of closing forum down, when there is Twitter and Facebook to name but 2.

I am fully in favour of closing down this site, I would like to see a site opened where you use your name, then write what you like if your man/woman enough to stand by your comments.
