New Bradwell St Peter were worthy winners in the MK Classico against Old Bradwell United today. The first half was very tight without too many clear-cut chances -- OBU arguably just shaded it -- but NBSP's creative players conjured up a couple of good goals after the break and their defensive organisation saw them over the line without too much of a problem.

a routine victory for Codicote today against Risborough who didn't cover themselves in glory after Cod were awarded a penalty for a handball in the box (see pix below!!)

The question i thought was it ball to hand or hand to ball... and not if it hit him in the face?   I can totally understand player's frustrations re decisions but some need to learn more on how to respect the man or lady in the middle!

Attendance h/c 50ish (programme expressed the wish for a good crowd, given the first team weren't playing. Hmmm.)

Spurred on by their No. 3, CUR went two up in 15 minutes with the first goal a delightfully cheeky chip. CG reduced the arrears with an absolute thunderbolt, but CUR restored their cushion with a free kick that went straight in before the goalkeeper had time to blink. CG pulled another back in the second half, but apart from a brief goalmouth tussle in the last few minutes, neither side seemed interested in adding to the scoreline. 

The covered standing opposite the stand now delights in being the Ryan Moran stand and looked to have been smartened up, but this consisted of no more than screwing a few large plastic panels to the wall. No hot food today, nor was there any milk for my tea. I trust these issues will be rectified when I return on Wednesday.

Absolutely dire and toothless display from AFC today. Midfield was over run as they could not cope with the physical side of Colney Heath's game. Men against boys to be frank in midfield. Felt sorry for our defence, as had no protection what so ever. The big 3 games that were coming up, only picked up 1point so far. Next up leaders Ampthill on Wednesday and we need to improve. Are we title contenders ????
