Thurrock 1 v Luton 1

This has got to give us confidence, Thurrock are a much poorer side than we are and Luton are a vastly better team than Darlington. So, if Thurrock got a draw against Luton and in fairness Thurrock actually had the better of the first 30 minutes of the first half and certainly the better of the second half, then we must have a good opportunity to turn over Darlo on Sunday!

Thurrock's a morgue at the best of times so I don't see 1200 or so glory hunters providing much of an atmosphere. Half of them probably couldn't even name a Thurrock player!

Sounded from the radio like the ground was full of kids!!!

I wonder what the 200 or so diehard Thurrock fans who go week in, week out make of all this!

I saw the game on Sky and I have to say that's the poorest FA Cup non-league vs league atmosphere I've ever experienced. No noise, no passion. Not even any cheering or anything when Thurrock won a corner or had that penalty shout. Where were the fans? Apparently there were more Luton fans there.

Apparently the crowd was only 1500 which is pretty poor considering Luton have a fairly decent away following. Can't have been more than 700/800 home fans. As I said above Thurrock is always pretty quiet.

OK their crowds are not great but I've been to games where there has been only 200/300 there and there has been plenty of atmosphere and singing. The only people who provide any sort of atmosphere at Thurrock are the squeaky voiced kids who soon lose interest if things aren't going their way.

I know...i couldnt belive it when i saw it ! there usual price is £8 i think so perhaps maybe a tenner would of been ideal....but £15 !

the ground was split in half and i would say luton brought abit more...even soo there fans were quite too...i suppose they had nothing to cheer about tho, i mean drawing with thurrock is hardly a result

'That is what Port Vale thought after they drew 4 all with Canvey at Park Lane - Canvey beat them in the replay at their ground - so anything is possible.'

Yeah but Canvey Island are brilliant compared to Thurrock. Almost Conference quality.
